Apple Music for Artists gives you access to your data with lots of transparency around streams, listeners, music videos and playlists for artists who have music on Apple Music.

More detail on the Shazam for Artists and Apple Music for Artists merge below (this happened in 2019 but some artists still aren’t aware and continue to search for a ‘Shazam for Artists’ tool.

Apple Music and Shazam have combined their artist tools . An email announcement was sent to users registered with Shazam for Artists advising that that track insights would be moving into Apple Music for Artists (screenshot below).

An announcement on the Shazam for Artists website offers further clarification. Explaining that they will no longer be accepting new Shazam for Artists accounts. (screenshot below).

Here’s what you need to know.

If you already have access to Apple Music for Artists you don’t need to do anything else, you will gain access to Shazam data in your dashboard.

If you have access to Shazam for Artists you can still access your account to create posts and view your data. Eventually this will all merge into the Apple Music for Artists platform.

If you don’t have access to Apple Music for Artists you can sign up at artists.apple.com. Apple mention that if you have a Shazam for Artists account to use your Shazam for Artists details when signup up for faster verification.

Shazam data is now displaying in Apple Music for Artists. Apple Music for Artists is free and allows artists to see data relating to their audience, playlist adds, stream counts and more.
