Apple Music Classical App

Apple have released a separate app dedicated to Classical Music and if you have an existing Apple Music subscription it is included at no extra cost.

Currently they have a catalog of over 5 million tracks that can be searched by work, composer, conductor, opus number, key, and more. The audio quality goes up to 192kHz/24-bit Hi-Res Lossless plus thousands of recordings are also available in immersive, Spatial Audio featuring Dolby Atmos.

While listening, the app shows information including complete movement titles and a full list of contributing artists. There’s also a selection of editorial playlists covering key composers, instruments, or periods.

There’s also a browse tab to view by composers, periods, genres, instruments, and more. You can read artist and composer bios or insightful guides to works, written by expert writers and reviewers of classical music.
