Apple Music for Artists Radio Spins
Apple Music for Artists now includes Radio data from over 40,000 radio stations and 200+ countries and regions.
This is incredibly powerful for artists to know where their music is being played around the world and this data is provided at no cost.
Artists can use this data to:
Plan a tour based on listeners by location.
Reach out to a radio station and say thanks. This could lead to more airplay or even an interview. *Apple don't provide contact details, your would need to search for the radio station and reach out yourself.
Include in pitches, one sheets or press releases.
Speak to fans, maybe even create a post aimed towards listeners in these locations.
Here’s how it works:
Log in to Apple Music for Artists.
Choose an artist then go to the Music tab.
There will be a column for Radio spins. Tap the top of the column to sort and see which songs have had the most radio spins.
Tap on a song and scroll down to the Radio Spins section to see which station has played the song.
Read more about this in the Apple Music for Artists blog.
